Find Hex Codes
Hexadecimal numbers are numbers based on 0-F or 0-15 for a total of 16 numbers. Normally numbers we know are base 10, or from 1-10. The reason that it uses 0-9 and A-F is because the total of 16 is 2 to the 8th power or 4 bits, which is half a byte, also called a nybble. This coding is a clear way to show computer values. Below is a basic chart for 1 byte from 0-255. Hex numbers read from right to left, so the smaller number is the right-most one.
Enter a Decimal Number:
One Byte / 2^8 / 0-255 / 00-FF
One Nybble / 2^4 / 0-15 / 0-F
One Nybble / 2^4 / 0-15 / 0-F
